This
is a centuries old artform brought to this country by Jacob
Spiels, grandfather of Katherine
Marie Stubergh, mentor to Henry
Alvarez. Henry
has carried on her techniques and secrets in creating lifelike
portraits in wax since 1968.
In
1977, Henry Alvarez founded Alvarez Wax Models and has produced
wax models for museums throughout the United States as well
as Canada, England, France, Denmark, Korea, and Japan.
Wax
is translucent and is the closest one can get to the look
of living flesh, as well as being one of the most long-lasting
and natural materials.
We
can produce any likeness for you using paintings, photographs,
or actual lifecasts as reference.
